Character Art Director Charles Ellison has recently shared a sizeable collection of behind-the-scenes character designs, providing a closer look at Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, a recently released animated movie produced by DreamWorks Animation.

Released via ArtStation, Ellison's gallery demonstrates various 3D models of the movie's main character, ranging from earlier designs to final versions. According to the creator, the models were based on Timmy Lamb and Willie Real's concepts and were made using Maya, ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, Arnold, and XGen.

"Had the great pleasure of helping develop Ruby from Dreamworks Animation's 'Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken'. Inspiring to work alongside so many incredible designers on this project! A special thank you to Production Designer, Pierre Olivier Vincent and Producer, Kelly Cooney for their trust and confidence in me and giving me this tremendous opportunity," commented the author.
