3D Recreation of The Fifth Element's Legendary Alien

Senior Environment Artist Jessica Helgesson created a 3D model of Mondoshawan from the classic movie.

Take a look at this impressive 3D recreation of Mondoshawan, one of the legendary alien species from Luc Besson's 1997 sci-fi classic The Fifth Element, made by Jessica Helgesson, Senior Environment Artist at Hazelight Studios.

The artwork was crafted using a combination of Maya, Modo, Substance 3D Painter, and Marmoset Toolbag. The creator noted that finding reliable references for the Mondoshawan model was challenging. To overcome this, she employed a creative research approach, using a triangulation of visual data from multiple sources: movie stills, figurines, and behind-the-scenes footage.
