Made with ZBrush and Blender by 3D Artist FHNT.
FHNT, a talented 3D Character Artist and Digital Sculptor, continues to impress us with their highly-detailed digital characters by presenting a stunning 3D model of one of the most iconic anime characters of all time – Neon Genesis Evangelion's Asuka Soryu.
Based on the "eyepatch Asuka" from the Rebuild of Evangelion movies, the model boasts tons of intricate details, dynamic poses, and an appealing painterly-style shader that makes it easy to mistake the artwork for a 2D illustration at first glance. As for the software, FHNT noted that the character was set up with the help of ZBrush, Blender, and Photoshop.
Previously, FHNT also shared a detailed step-by-step breakdown explaining how to use vertex painting to create hyperrealistic female hands in ZBrush:
