A Digital Version of Tom Cruise Made With Metahuman & DeepFaceLive

A YouTuber and deepfakes enthusiast Ralph Virtual has revealed the results of a new digital human experiment. This time, the creator tested out Unreal Engine 5's Metahuman with face replacements provided by DeepFaceLive, a real-time face swapper that works by using trained face models. Using the combination of these tools, the artist managed to create a realistic version of Tom Cruise that can easily be mistaken for a real person if the lighting is right.

According to Ralph, the goal was to generate a similar corresponding image in the actor’s likeness, in terms of perspective, lighting, and facial expressions.
