The environment was created by Taichi Kobayashi as a graduation project.
3D Artist Taichi Kobayashi has unveiled Cliffwood Village, a realistic large-scale 3D environment, featuring a highly-detailed mountainside settlement, incredible river and waterfall simulations, and myriads of smaller props scattered all across the map, making the renders nearly indistinguishable from real-life photos.
According to the creator, the scene was made as a graduation project over a period of eight months. As for the software, the artist utilized Maya, Substance 3D Painter, Gaea, SpeedTree, Megascans, Quixel Mixer, Houdini, which was used to set up Cliffwood Village's gorgeous water, and Unreal Engine 5.1.
