A Russian Apartment Made in Unreal Engine with RTX

Ostap Gordon continues the series of realistic environments with Russian vibes with yet another great scene.

Ostap Gordon, a 3D Artist known for creating realistic-looking environments using a variety of different engines, has presented a new great scene that depicts a typical Russian apartment. The most notable feature of the project is the lighting. According to the artist, GPU Lightmapper was used to bake the lights, as well as RT Reflections and Ray-Traced Ambient Occlusion.

Some of the assets for the project were reused from Ostap's previous works, one of which the author had discussed back in September 2021, here on 80 Level. In the process of creating this work, the author used Blender to create high poly and low poly. Substance 3D Painter was used to texture the objects.

"The wallpaper textures you see here for example are taken from various online stores and then hand-corrected with roughness and normal map," commented Ostap on the material-creation process." The linoleum I made by taking a single teal from the original image and matching it with a seamless texture."

And here are the lighting shots:

As mentioned before, Ostap Gordon is well-known for creating stunning environments. Previously, the author had released a live demo that showcased an iconic apartment location from Half-Life 2, recreated using UNIGINE 2, Blender, Substance 3D Painter, Megascans, and Fl Studio. You can learn more about the project here and check out the demo below.
