An Elden Ring-Inspired VFX Made in Unreal Engine 5

The author plans to reveal the workflow behind the effect in an upcoming video.

Technical Artist at the Unreal Engine team Asher Zhu, known for creating stunning water and slime simulations, has revealed a new Elden Ring-inspired VFX project titled Frenzied Flame Greatsword. This time, the artist has set up an amazing flaming claymore that creates myriads of embers after each swing and leaves an ash afterimage of the mannequin that crumbles to dust over time. According to the artist, this outstanding FX was created entirely in Unreal Engine 5.

Unfortunately, the workflow behind the effect has not been revealed yet. However, Asher promises to show and explain the entire working process in an upcoming video that will be revealed this Wednesday. You can visit Asher's Twitter page to learn more and set a reminder.
