An Elder Ring-Style Environment Made in Maya & Unreal Engine 5

Have a look at the third Elden Ring-style scene in Jonathon Gregory Bick's Hinterlands series.

Environment Artist at Rockstar Games Jonathon Gregory Bick has unveiled the third project in the Hinterlands series of environments. This time, the artist has shown The Storm Isle, a gloomy and somber scene with strong Elden Ring vibes. According to the project's description, the entire environment was set up in Maya and the newly released Unreal Engine 5.

As usual, the artist wrote a short story about the environment, here it is:

"Aelbert travels to Fulgur Tempaestis: The Storm Isle, home of the Deific Ichor Crow. Violent winds bite and teeth and sea spray fills the misty air. It is said that the Ichor Crow is the last of its kind, and grants mortality to those cursed with undeath."

As mentioned before, this is the third Hinterlands project made by Jonathon. Here are some renders from the author's previous works – Towers of Golden Guidance and Hinterland Outskirts: Exploration:
