Breakdown: Eroding Terrain in The Last of Us Part I

Jared Sobotta released the third TLoU remake breakdown, discussing erosion and how the Tommy's Dam level was built.

In case you missed it, over the past few weeks, Principal Environment Artist at Naughty Dog Jared Sobotta shared a couple of in-depth breakdowns, explaining the working processes behind The Last of Us Part I's Brick and Concrete generator and showing how the River Rock materials were made.

Continuing the newly-established weekly series, the artist has released the third breakdown, detailing the process of eroding terrain and showing how the Tommy's Dam level was built utilizing prototype mesh with the terrain geo and rocks. As usual, the creator shared multiple WiP demos and materials, provided some insightful comments regarding Naughty Dog's environment art pipeline, and more.
