Jak and Daxter is a well-known series of games, but it hasn't produced new titles since 2009, sadly. However, there could have been a remaster back in the day, as revealed by Travis Howe, former senior animator at Sanzaru, the studio behind Sly Cooper and God of War collections as well as Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
Howe shared that his team wanted to pitch a remaster of Jak and Daxter to Sony, but I guess it didn't succeed.
"A long while back, a team was assembled to pitch a remaster of Jak & Daxter. I was asked to animate an IGC shot-for-shot, to show what this updated version would look like," he said on LinkedIn. "To be abundantly clear: this was NOT commissioned by Sony, nor did they have any involvement in our proposal – this was essentially a fan pitch to try and gain their permission."

"Although the remaster wasn't to be, I'm really proud of how it came together," and we are glad to see this comparison.
Perhaps if this story gains further traction, we might see a remake one day. Especially considering how popular those are nowadays.
Meanwhile, there was a rumor of a movie adaptation several years ago, but it's been silent since then.
