An exciting tool for toon art.
Damjan Minovski has shared another glimpse of OmniEdge, a Blender add-on for stylized line art, showcasing its WIP capabilities in motion.
In this video, he demonstrated line widths adapting to the field of view, "with post-processing and depth of field."
This makes art look nicely consistent from any angle and distance.
"Still refining the UI and adding multi-object editing - something Blender doesn’t really support natively," the creator said.
He works on the add-on tirelessly, showing his progress often. For example, in May, we saw how the tool can compute intersection curves via BVH trees for faster performance and how its lines and colors are reflected in the water.
While OmniEdge is still in development, you can try Minovski's OmniStep, an interactive animation and prototyping tool that provides a scriptable first-person controller.
