Check Out These Behind-the-Scenes Details of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis

Are you excited for this game?

The developers behind Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis have been sharing a mini-doc series discussing some behind-the-scenes details of the game, mentioning how important it was to look back at older titles in the franchise to identify which fundamental aspects to adapt for the new game.

In the video, they talk about how they achieved the iconic style of Lara Croft. Alix Wilton Regan, the Lead Actress for the character, mentions that she does weight training, running, yoga, and rock climbing to match Lara's physicality.

Michał Kuk, Creative Director, says that multiple subtle things identify Lara, like how far she jumps or how she climbs, and those were achieved with dynamic animation and keeping in mind Lara's acrobatic style in older games.

Another important aspect that is mentioned in the video is how they managed to create a connection with players through vibrant colors and movements in the environment that will catch the player's eye. If you remember Charlie, he is going to be back this time, guiding you through the water.

The game will have some crazy adventures, exploring ancient civilizations and fighting against wild beasts, but you'll also be able to simply do handstands and acrobatics, or take the time to choose an outfit before you search for collectibles and treasures.

Check out the other videos in the mini-doc:

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a remake of the original 1996 Tomb Raider game. It will have expanded environments and storytelling with modernized gameplay. The game is set to launch on February 12, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.
