So far, there is everything you expect from Mario: pipes, mushrooms, coins, and a cheery background. Perhaps music is one thing you won't find here. Other than that, players say it looks a lot like Super Mario Bros. X, a fan-made game where you can create and play your own levels.

Godot is getting increasingly popular among developers and has shown its capabilities countless times. For example, check out this "realistic" grass sway effect by Passivestar or the Godot-powered engine from the RPG Maker devs.
If you don't know how to use Godot, don't worry: Fabrizio Espindola, the author of The Unity Shaders Bible, is planning to create The Godot Shaders Bible to help.
