Course: Introduction to Voxel Art for Character Design

Voxel artist and animator Zach Soares will walk you through the entire production process of voxel art. The course is divided into 4 units and a final project part.

In the beginning, you’ll get a quick overview of the course, learn Zach’s approach to references and the general concept. Then, you’ll move to work on animation references using your phone, modeling the character on Qubicle, do blocking and positioning your scene.

During the course, you’ll get to learn Maya and how to do the pre-rigging phase in it, find out testing methods, and organizing tips. And finally, do the animation using Maya and Blender and learn all the insights of the workflow.
