Check out Uniform, an upcoming Godot-powered application designed to handle the entire asset creation process.
Sparseal, the development studio behind the iOS-based retopology, seam-based UV unwrapping, and baking software CozyBlanket, has introduced a new great application currently in pre-alpha. Meet Uniform, a new 2D/3D software for iPad that comes equipped with a modular scene and a robust toolset designed to handle the entire asset creation process.
Following the introduction, Sparseal's Co-Founder Pablo Dobarro shared some details regarding the upcoming app, revealing that Uniform is "coded as a Godot 4 C++ module" and "uses Godot build system and rendering device for portability".
Furthermore, the developer revealed that the app includes both polypaint and texture painting tools and is not reliant on a multitouch screen, allowing it to be used with any pen tablet and keyboard. Initially, Uniform is set to launch exclusively on iPad, with Dobarro indicating that its availability on other platforms like Android and PC will depend on distribution and hardware compatibility.
On top of that, the developer shared a couple of demos providing a look at Uniform's Sharp Displacement brush:
At the moment, the software's release date and price remain undisclosed, with the team planning to organize the initial public beta on Discord in the near future.
