Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher developer CD Projekt RED and animation studio Trigger dropped a new teaser trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the second season of the anime series set in Cyberpunk 2077's Night City. The creators revealed that the series will premiere exclusively on Netflix on October 20.

Described as a "raw story of revenge and redemption," the new season will be a standalone narrative with 10 episodes. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will feature a cast of new characters, each navigating their own conflicts as their stories intersect across Night City.

Season 2 is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with Kanno Ichigo being a lead character designer; the creative minds behind Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' story, Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor and Masahiko Otsuka, also bring the anime-style action-packed series to life, promising a vibrant experience.

The music from the trailer is a track titled A Rusty Dream, released on August 22, written, performed, composed, and arranged by DOUDOU, a creative duo of Du Binger and Du Feier, and produced by DOUDOU in collaboration with Yuyunhsieh, who also recorded, mixed, and mastered the track.

The first season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners premiered on Netflix on September 13, 2022, and the sequel was announced last year. The teaser of season 2 was released in June, sharing a glimpse of the upcoming story featuring new characters: Weak Kingsley, Roman Carax, Talia Yang, and D.
