Jessica Marrubini, a skilled 3D Modeler and Senior Environment Artist at Nacon Studio Milan, recently took a break from her work on realistic props to explore a completely different art style, presenting a charming and cozy digital diorama of a Japanese takoyaki shop.
Inspired by her dream of visiting Japan, Jessica's artwork imagines a café where customers can relax, enjoy delicious street food, and sip on a cold beer, with the artist breathing life into the scene by using her own photographs for some of the textures and hiding easter eggs in Japanese writing. As for the software, the author employed Blender and Substance 3D Painter/Designer, along with "some Geometry Nodes magic" to create the environment.
