Aaron Christophel doesn't let the trend die.
Aaron Christophel, also known as atc1441, keeps developers' favorite pastime alive by running DOOM on the Anker Prime charging station. Moreover, the game doesn't just appear on the tiny screen, he can actually play it, fully controlling the character by twisting and pushing the knob.
He shoots and opens gates by pressing the rotary part, moves it to go up and down, and pushes and rotates it at the same time to turn left and right.

"This internal SWM34S MCU is just way too nice! 8MB RAM + 16MB Flash directly mapped to memory allow goes brrrr."
This isn't his first foray into DOOM coding: he has also made it run on an electric toothbrush before:
If you're interested, you should see DOOM run in Houdini, Blender's Geometry Nodes, a PDF file, an attendee's badge from a hacking conference, Windows' Notepad, LEGO bricks, Balatro, and Fortnite.
