Developer Changes Virtual Handheld Console with Her Fingers

Kat Zhang is back!

Multidisciplinary artist Kat Zhang, also known as The Poet Engineer, is always full of surprises. This time, she adjusted her gesture-focused technology to create virtual handheld consoles.

She can rotate the image with two fingers, make the parts expand with three, and change the shape with two hands.

From her earlier experiments, we know that she likely used the visual development platform TouchDesigner and Torin Blankensmith's MediaPipe plug-in for the project. You can see what she does with them on her X/Twitter

Now this is an unusual way of transforming reality. I wonder what uses this tech can have. Even if there are none, it simply looks fun, it's already enough!
