Developer Shows How to Create 2D Book Menu in GameMaker

Teo Chhim shared new updates on Detective Fantasia: EXCALIMURDER.

Developer Teo Chhim, who is creating a pixel-style fantasy Detective Fantasia: EXCALIMURDER, showed a creative process of making the game's 2D book-style menu. The artist shared a detailed step-by-step tutorial on crafting the setup in GameMaker, animating each stage.

Detective Fantasia: EXCALIMURDER is a Game Boy-inspired nonlinear mystery game, where you explore an orphanage, encounter weird people, and spot inconsistencies, while solving logic puzzles. Also, in the game's peculiar world, Excalibur is the murder weapon.
