The developer also built a new city using Houdini and UE5 files.
Earlier this week, Epic Games shared The City Sample, a free downloadable sample project that revealed how the city scene from The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience was built. It didn't take long for 3D Artists from all across the globe to start producing their own amazing projects based on downloadable files from the City Sample.
Romanian Technical Artist and Unreal Engine enthusiast Vladimir Cazacu a.k.a. volodXYZ, for example, has managed to turn the sample into a Superman game by making the mannequin fly at a rapid speed around the city. According to the artist, this was supposed to be a small stress test of UE5 and Houdini but might turn into a real game down the line. The author also adds that a new city grid was created for this project using Houdini, Epic's project files, and VEX scripting.
