EA is Laying Off Workers from All Battlefield 6 Studios

Battlefield 6 was one of the best-selling games of 2025 in the United States.

Battlefield 6 sold around 7 million copies in three days, and it had one of the strongest launch campaigns of the franchise. Nonetheless, it was just announced that EA decided to let go of an unknown number of employees from all the studios that worked on the game.

IGN asked EA about the types of roles that were impacted and the reasons for the firings, "We've made select changes within our Battlefield organization to better align our teams around what matters most to our community. Battlefield remains one of our biggest priorities, and we're continuing to invest in the franchise, guided by player feedback and insights from Battlefield Labs," answered the EA spokesperson.

Even though the game had a lot of success when it came out, it has faced some criticism about the updates, especially because of the use of AI in cosmetics.

And at the end of last year, it was announced that EA is in preparation to be acquired by PIF, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners, but according to EA, this has nothing to do with the layoffs.
