Fabric Software has released Fabric 2.3. New version – among other improvements – has Blocks addition to Canvas for easier visual programming. Let’s look at the details.

List of improvements: 

  • Lots of UX improvements, including a revamped Function Node Editor
  • A basic Linear Algebra extension
  • Lots of bug fixes, including particular focus on Alembic import/export

Tools built in Fabric can now be used in Maya, Softimage and Modo. There is also an ongoing advanced beta for 3DS Max.

Developers from Fabric Software work with their community to improve the software, so make sure to check Fabric forums if you’re interested in using Fabric 2.3.
