First-Person & Third-Person Steamgun Animations Made With Maya

The sequence was set up by Micah Reigstad using Meysam Gharibkhani's Liquid Pump Machine Gun model.

3D Artist and Viewmodel Animator at Respawn Micah Reigstad, widely known for setting up gorgeous military-themed animations, impresses us yet again with a brand-new sequence. This time, the artist revealed a set of fluid steamgun-wielding animations, depicting the character shooting, reloading, and inspecting the rifle in both fisrt- and third-person. According to the author, the project was created using Maya, Unreal Engine, and DaVinci Resolve.

If the weapon model used by Micah seems familiar to you, that's because the artist used Meysam Gharibkhani's Liquid Pump Machine Gun, created with Fusion 360, Maya, ZBrush, and Substance 3D Painter, the workflow behind which was shared by Meysam here on 80 Level back in early 2022.

Additionally, Micah utilized Denis Rutkovsky's Victorian Style Train Station scene, the Vintage Train asset by Dmitriy Dryzhak, and Anton Pasichnyk's VFX to set up the environment and the visual effects.
