Gloomwood: a Thief-Like Old-School Horror FPS

The game is set to hit Early Access on August 16.

The producers of DUSK New Blood Interactive published a release date trailer for Gloomwood – an old-school stealth horror first-person shooter similar to Thief in some ways.

Inspired by the immersive sims and survival horror greats of the late 90s and early 2000s, Gloomwood takes you on a mysterious journey to a twisted Victorian metropolis following your abduction and a beginning of a horrifying transformation.

Get ready for a frightening, gothic immersive sim full of haunted streets, dark tunnels, and decadent mansions. Get to know the hand-crafted city with freeform exploration and corner ghastly monsters with acute senses using the stealth and sound system that tracks your light visibility and propagates noise accurately through the world.

The developers Dillon Rogers and David Szymanski promise a range of weapons, including a stealthy cane sword, six-shot revolver, folding shotgun, hand-placed traps, and rope-slinging harpoon rifle. The game also provides in-depth player interactivity, where you'll have to lean to eavesdrop, peek through door cracks, check the bullets in your firearms, and mantle onto ledges.

Gloomwood is going to be released in Early Access on August 16. Check it out on Steam and don't forget to join our new Reddit pageour new Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we are sharing breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
