Gorgeous Painterly-Style ZBrush Sculpt of a Fantasy Knight

Arnaud Jézéquel, also known as Arzel, 3D Artist specializing in character sculpting and animation, crafted this stunning sculpt of a fantasy-inspired character. The 3D artwork was based on an illustration by Artist Assia Maeve Wynn, made with Photoshop and Procreate.

Arzel skillfully translated the amazing 2D portrait into 3D, preserving the original hand-painted style and masterfully recreating the character's proportions. As shared by the artist, sculpts and polypaint were done in ZBrush, and retopology was completed using ZRemesher; then the creator made some adjustments in Maya, followed by baking and correctives for the shading in Substance 3D Painter. Final rendering was completed using Blender's Eevee.
