Kamil Wacławiak has revealed GroomBear, a tool for Houdini that lets users create and modify guides or cards.
Groom node has a number of grooming tools: not just short fur, but long hair as well. The tool features a radial menu for faster workflow.
Brushes: mask, comb, force, shape, scatter, draw, move, copy, cut, lift, rotate, smooth, scale, clump, paint, custom, edit. Some brushes also feature sub-brushes. There’s also the Cards node to convert guides to template geometry (planes, feathers, tubes, etc.).
“Nodes are locked. GroomBear’s groom node has digital asset wrapper, so it can be customized to some extent,” noted the developer.
