GTA Creator's New Media Company is Cooking An Open-World Sci-Fi Game

Absurd Ventures is working on "A Better Paradise."

Absurd Ventures, the new venture of Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser, who's the creator of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, has officially announced its creative debut with an original intellectual property titled "A Better Paradise." Alongside the announcement was the release of a trailer and the news about an upcoming 12-episode audio fiction series set within the same universe. The series features a star-studded cast, including Andrew Lincoln and Shamier Anderson, and is slated for a June 10th release.

However, the audio series isn't the only project on Absurd Ventures' slate. Buried in the announcement was the revelation that Absurd Ventures is developing multiple projects within the "A Better Paradise" universe, including video game titles.

"In addition to launching Volume One of the A Better Paradise audio series, Houser, Lazlow [Jones], and the Absurd Ventures team are in various stages of development on multiple projects set in the A Better Paradise universe, including additional audio fiction seasons, as well as television and video game titles."

IGN has since confirmed through a source that one of these projects is an open-world action-adventure game set within the same universe.

This confirmation aligns with recent job listings spotted by GamesRadar at Absurd Ventures, indicating the studio was on the hunt for developers skilled in various gameplay mechanics, Unreal Engine 4 or 5, and co-development collaborations for an open-world action-adventure game.

The trailer for the audio fiction sure does drop the word 'games' a few times, don't you think that would be a little hint? Let us know.
