Be water, my friend.
Hadi Karimi, a brilliant 3D Character Artist who just recently impressed us with a 3D version of Roberto Ferri's San Giovanni (Saint John), strikes again with an awesome new portrait, this time depicting the legendary actor and the most influential martial artist of all time, Bruce Lee. Boasting striking realism and attention to detail, Hadi's latest model was set up using the artist's favorite combination of 3D software, comprising ZBrush, Maya, Arnold, and XGen. Attached below are some of the WIP showcases shared by Hadi over the past couple of weeks:
Earlier, the artist also presented highly-realistic versions of Beethoven, Ozzy Osbourne, the Girl With a Pearl Earring, French model Camille Razat, Audrey Hepburn, Kurt Cobain, and many others. You can check out all of these artworks and more by visiting the artist's ArtStation, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
If you're interested in the artist's character creation workflow, check out our interview with him where he shared how he made the model of his friend Clara, showed how the hair was done using XGen, and explained why historical figures are challenging to recreate.
Back in 2023, Character Designer G.Zhao also showcased an amazing portrait of Bruce Lee made with Maya and ZBrush and rendered in Unreal Engine 5:
