The fluid was set up using ray marching and lacks geometry.
Shahzod "specoolar" Boyhonov, a talented 3D Artist and Game Developer whose incredible works have been featured countless times here on 80 Level, has once again experimented with digital liquids showcasing a new outstanding project.
Drawing inspiration from Half-Life: Alyx and its famous liquid-in-a-bottle effect, Shahzod's new setup aims to replicate the game's bottle shader in Unity. According to the author, his version of the liquid was made with shaders and ray marching and lacks geometry. "Far from perfect yet. It could be improved and optimized. But, I am stopping it here, it was just a fun project," commented Shahzod.
Earlier, the artist also released Cell Fluids, a great new Geometry Nodes-powered add-on for simulating realistic-looking fluids in Blender. Compatible with Blender version 3.6 or newer, the add-on allows you to set up interactive semi-real-time fluid simulations in both Eevee and Cycles. You can learn more and download the add-on here.
Prior to that, Shahzod also showcased a cool-looking 2.5D fluid simulation, a Blender-powered grass simulation, a swarm of bugs simulation created with Blender's Simulation Nodes, a Unity-made mobile Rain Simulator app prototype, a Light Trails Generator for Blender, and more. You can check out all of these projects by visiting the creator's Twitter page.
