Hearthstone game director August Dean Ayala announced his departure from Blizzard after 11 years a couple of weeks ago. Now, he shared that he is joining Riot Games to work on League of Legends as a design director.
"Looking forward to working with a new team and immersing myself into the League community. HYPED!" he said on Twitter.
Riot has opened its doors to several workers from big companies in the past, including Halo Infinite's lead narrative designer Aaron Linde, who joined as a senior narrative writer, as well as HBO Max's Kristin Moss, Netflix's Emily Briggs, and Paramount Television Studios' Ken Basin, who help expand the company’s film, television, and other content.
