Help Make Blender Better by Completing User Survey
The annual Blender survey is up, and some unexpected questions are on the list.

Blender Foundation's annual user survey is open until October 31, 2026. Blender developers gather feedback from their community to get a better picture of who uses their software, how they use it, and what suggestions they have for the upcoming updates.
The survey is pretty short and easy and only takes a few minutes to fill out. The first few sections are dedicated to the most basic metrics: the users' age, location, profession, and the Blender version they started their journey with. In the second half of the survey, the more unexpected questions start to kick in. After inquiring what you use Blender for and what design tools you pair it with, the developers begin questioning whether you are currently using AI in your workflows.
As of now, Blender does not have native support for AI tools, and the only way to use those is through third-party plugins and add-ons. It seems, however, that Blender's developers are curious to see how much their users rely on AI in their workflow. In the survey section on Blender development, for the research topics you'd like the team to focus on, you can choose AI and ML.
Aside from that, naturally, Blender's developers want to know how much users are spending on other software they use, what their budget for third-party Blender tools is, and how much they've donated to the Blender Foundation. One of the reasons Blender stays undefeated and remains the most popular 3D design tool on the market is that it's completely free for everyone.
The results of the survey will be anonymized and shared publicly "both as an illustrated report with commentary and as a raw dataset," developers note. All questions are optional, but each of them contributes to where Blender Foundation decides to shift its focus going forward.
