Houdini-Based Tool For Creating Damage on Concrete Surfaces

The tool was created by Igor Tikhomirov.

Level Artist at Sperasoft Igor Tikhomirov has showcased Concrete Damage, a cool custom-made tool that allows the artist to easily apply damage to concrete and stone surfaces.

Set up with Blender and Houdini, the tool can generate damage in the area of the drawn curve or in the specified area with a separate mesh, as well as generate edge decals with automatic UV. Furthermore, the tool allows for the broken pieces to be "saved and unloaded along with the main damaged mesh". According to the artist, Concrete Damage was developed for personal projects and is currently not commercially available.
