Ian Spriggs Presents a New Multi-Layered 3D Portrait

The model was made using Maya, Mudbox, DaVinci Resolve, and V-Ray.

3D Character Artist Ian Spriggs continues the series of outstanding 3D character models with multiple layers by unveiling Coeus, a brand-new project that represents Ian's vision of the titan of inquisitive minds and intellect from Greek mythology. Similar to one of the artist's earlier artworks, Coeus consists of multiple layers, with his anatomical features like muscles, bones, veins, arteries, nerves, and even the brain being visible.

To create the project, the author utilized Maya and Mudbox for modeling and texturing and V-Ray's GPU RTX engine for rendering, as well as Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve for touch-ups and post-color corrections.

You can check out more renders and see the artist's earlier works by visiting Ian's website. Also, don't forget to join our Reddit page and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
