Indie Developer Showcases Gameplay Prototype Featuring a Cube-Shaped Cat

Indie Developer Guillem Tenza showcased this cool gameplay demo from his upcoming platformer MOJITO Woody's Rescue.

The video features amazing parkour animation performed by an unusual character, an adorable cube-shaped cat, together with his friend, a little yarn ball. The dev shared that he uses Blender for creating animations and then polishes them to achieve a smooth and expressive look. According to Tenza, he spent the most time iterating over the mechs, animation, and responsive controls.

The game follows the story of a cube-shaped feline protagonist named Mojito who teamed up with Lana, a little yarn ball, to rescue his best dog friend. The cute 3D adventure features diverse sandbox levels, platforming challenges, and exploration zones, along with challenging wagon levels, maze-like puzzles, and more. There are three gameplay styles: open world, 3D linear, and 2.5D platformer.

MOJITO Woody's Rescue features a vibrant, stylized world and draws inspiration from titles such as Super Mario, Banjo-Kazooie, and Donkey Kong Country.
