James Bond's Adorable Dog Arrives In 007 First Light
Yes, you can pet Jack the Bulldog.
IO Interactive
Although 007 First Light, the first standalone AAA James Bond game in 14 years, is already out, IO Interactive has set a wishlist milestone to unlock a special free reward. And who would want to miss out on that? With 7 million wishlists now reached, Jack the Bulldog is joining 007 First Light's TacSim hub as a new assistant.
For James Bond fans, Jack is a familiar character, first appearing as a porcelain bulldog figurine on M's desk in 2012's Skyfall before being passed down to Bond and making further appearances in Spectre and No Time to Die. Now, he's a real dog that players can actually pet. The timing is perfect, coinciding with James Bond Day on October 5.
IO Interactive describes Jack as a "warm, loyal presence," adding that the "gruff on the outside but endlessly good-natured Jack has quickly become something of a fixture around MI6, with Bond himself growing rather fond of him between assignments."
And Jack isn't the only free treat for 007 First Light players: Extended Operations DLC is now available, bringing path tracing, DLSS 4.5, new missions, Photo Mode, New Game+, weapons, outfits, and more.
If you've been thinking about jumping in, now's the perfect time: 007 First Light is 30% off on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The Switch 2 version is also scheduled to arrive in 2027.
