Jaw-Dropping 3D Character Model That Looks Like a 2D Sketch

Set up with ZBrush, 3ds Max, and Cinema 4D's BodyPaint.

Digital Artist Bli_d continues their series of 3D character models that look 2D, presenting a new jaw-dropping masterpiece that, if not for the behind-the-scenes video showcases, could've easily been mistaken for a hand-painted sketch.

As always, the artist used Autodesk 3ds Max to set up the model, alongside ZBrush and Cinema 4D's BodyPaint, a comprehensive toolset for painting textures directly onto 3D objects, to achieve the character's pencil-like look. Below is a fascinating 90-minute demo showcasing the artist's painting workflow:
