SideFX has presented a free course to show how to animate characters in Houdini. This nearly two-hour course consists of 15 sections, covering each step in the process, including basic setup for animation, creating selection sets, adding props to the scene, animation layers and mirroring, and dynamic motion. It will also lead you through more advanced features.
The course offers "an in-depth walkthrough of the tools, features and workflows for animating KineFX Characters that have been rigged using APEX in Houdini 20.5." It provides all the necessary information for artists who already have some basic knowledge about animating but might not have used Houdini. By the end of the workshop, you will have a deeper understanding of how to animate in Houdini.
