Team Quixel has shared an update on the library and added new scan-based assets with a wide range of textures, including hard-surface, fabrics, and leathers. The team is constantly working on improving the artist’s workflow in Mixer and aims to make it possible for any artist to get the texture that would be the best to use and will follow the art style of the artist.
On this occasion, Team Quixel has released a tutorial on how to master smart materials using Quixel Mixer. Josh Powers will guide you through the theoretical basics of what smart materials are, how they function, and what are its core features. Josh also shared his step-by-step workflow in Mixer and textured sci-fi tank turret made by Victor Oman.
