I just based my landscape material on this. I just wish I could exactly figure out what is going on with normals, ao and displacement here.

Megascans for Open World Production in UE4
20 July, 2017

Check out the new tutorial from Quixel artist Eoin O’Broin, who showed how to use scan assets to build big open scapes in UE4.

Megascans library has been around for some time, but there are still fears and misconceptions about the usage of these assets for real-time environments. Do they work? Do they give you creativity? How do you work with them? Eoin O’Broin answers these questions in his new tutorial.

In this 50-minute long video, he goes through the steps of creating a photorealistic meadow scene using Megascans in Unreal Engine 4. He talks about importing Megascans assets and creating master materials and touches on lighting and scattering assets to create a dense scene. The final result speaks for itself!
