MicroProse is Back to Develop New Games

A well-known company MicroProse was acquired by David Lagettie, so the team is back to develop new games. It is said that the first new titles will appear soon.

The company MicroProse is known for one of the most popular simulators and strategy games released back in the 1980s — Sid Meier’s Civilization, Sid Meier’s Pirates! or Railroad Tycoon. It appears that we’ll see something interesting once again.

Earlier this year, the MicroProse name was acquired by David Lagettie, the one creator of TitanIM. Lagettie is also known for simulators used in the military. His goal is to go back to the roots and produce high-quality strategy games and simulators, and some of them are expected to be announced later this year. The first game called Warbirds 2020 will be revealed in late 2019 or in the first quarter of 2020. The best thing is that Lagettie convinced Bill Stealey, the former owner of the company and co-founder of the Sid Meier’s series, to join the team.

You can now check out the company’s official Twitter, but still a little is known about their projects so far.
