Morphing Between Geometries in Houdini With Spherical Parameterization

Junichiro Horikawa released a two-hour-long tutorial explaining the Optimal Transport technique.

Architectural Programmer Junichiro Horikawa, widely-known for creating educational videos on using Rhino, Unity, and Houdini, continues the Houdini Algorithmic Live series with an enormous new tutorial.

In the new two-hour-long episode, the creator thoroughly explained the ins and outs of Optimal Transport, a technique that enables one to morph between multiple numbers of mesh geometries using spherical parameterization, showing how the technique works and how to set it up in Houdini, explaining why only it only works with genus-0 meshes, and more. You can check out the full tutorial attached above or by visiting Junchiro's YouTube channel.
