New High-Fidelity Simulation Engine Released For Blender
Created by an ex-Walt Disney Animation Studios engineer, HiPhyEngine is positioned as an alternative to Marvelous Designer.
Developed by Haixiang Liu, who spent six years at WDAS building and maintaining character simulation and grooming tools, HiPhyEngine is designed to tackle the character-simulation challenges he observed artists facing during his time at the studio.
It's a fast, robust, all-in-one multi-physics simulation engine built for full artistic control without sacrificing performance, featuring "many exclusive features that are not available in any other commercial simulators". HiPhyEngine can simulate rigid bodies, hair, cloth, and soft bodies within a unified solver while ensuring intersection-free results. It also includes an MPM solver, enabling realistic snow and sand simulations directly in Blender.
