New Minimalist 3D Sculpting App Tamga Released
No accounts or subscriptions required, and it's free on the web.
Ahmet Levent Taşel, the creator of Tamga, has over a decade of experience building tools for artists in feature animation and VFX. He was the Lead Technical Director on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and most recently has published research in top journals and conferences like ACM Transactions on Graphics and SIGGRAPH.
Tamga began as a weekend project, Ahmet's personal effort to refine a creative tool and share his work with others. It has since grown into a full 3D sculpting, sketching, and stylized rendering app, now available on the web and iPad with no accounts, subscriptions, or ads, and it even works offline, by design. "In an era of industrial-scale art scraping, your work stays entirely on your device. Just a quiet, private space to create."

"Tamga tries to solve software-operator and artist fatigue… A lot of the tools for digital artists demand the user to not only be a good artist or have taste, but also learn a complicated set of buttons designed by and for an engineer. The tools can and will never come close to pen and paper or a piece of earth.
This is true not only because of their inherent simplicity vs complexity, but also because people designing the digital art tools are not trying (most of the time) to make simple and out-of-the-way user experiences. I want to contribute to trying to change 3D user interfaces, too, hopefully for the better. I placed a lot of intention and attention into Tamga to feel out of the way of the artist. I hope it shows."
Tamga lets you sculpt from primitives, apply color directly to your mesh, pose with a simple tool, and even draw ink lines in 3D space. You can also render in a stylized mode and import or export your projects.
