A modder known as xoxor4d is working on an RTX Remix for Grand Theft Auto IV that adds full path tracing. Ben aka videotechuk_ shared some early screenshots and videos, and the mod looks impressive, but it's reportedly seriously demanding. According to Ben, you'll probably need an RTX 5090 to run it properly, as it's already pushing his RTX 4070 SUPER to its limits.
"The developer is very focused on ensuring path-tracing doesn't alter the original look of the game, as you see in the video. It's not aiming for a hyper-realistic look, unlike other graphical mods", commented Ben.

This mod is currently accessible through the developer's Patreon subscription. It's important to note that the project is still in active development, with no official release date announced yet.
