LogInNostalgia Drive Team kicks off the development of a full RTX Remix remaster for Left 4 Dead 2.
If you've felt the urge to dive back into Left 4 Dead 2, a fan-made mod by Nostalgia Drive Team has just been released using NVIDIA's RTX Remix, focusing on the iconic No Mercy campaign. This project completely overhauls the game's visuals, introducing realistic lighting, high-resolution PBR materials, and full ray tracing support, all powered by a custom RTX Remix build by Xorxor4d.
Since RTX Remix can't capture in-game lights, all lighting was recreated manually. According to Nostalgia Drive Team, Left 4 Dead 2 RTX NTD marks the first step toward a full RTX Remix remaster of Left 4 Dead 2.
There are all kinds of projects made with RTX Remix, NVIDIA's platform that enables developers to enhance game visuals, from the original Half-Life 2 RTX and Portal RTX to the Portal: Prelude RTX mod.
