New Xbox CEO Is Reportedly Considering "Lower-Priced Tiers" for Game Pass
Asha Sharma is "willing to question everything."

A month ago, Xbox lost its CEO, Phil Spencer, who was replaced by Asha Sharma, President of Product Development for Microsoft's CoreAI division. The new leader is not wasting her time and has an idea that might draw more players to the Game Pass.
According to The Information (via MSN), she is "considering ways to make future consoles and products like Game Pass more enticing to a broader range of customers," including, allegedly, "lower-priced tiers."
Considering people's rage after Xbox hiked the subscription prices by 50% last year, this would be a great way to return to its former glory, or at least try to.
Such tiers will, of course, come with limitations and perhaps even ads (hi, Netflix), which would be a travesty, in my opinion, but Sharma is ready to experiment in her new role.
"She wants to retain what makes Xbox great, but at the same time, she’s willing to question everything," said vice president of Xbox gaming devices and ecosystem Jason Ronald. "If you’ve been in the industry or in a certain role for a really long time, sometimes you build blinders where it’s like, 'Oh, well, the industry just works that way.' She doesn’t come in with those biases."
A fresh look is always good, and I hope the new CEO will improve Xbox as hardware and company.
