While 79% turn on DLSS.
NVIDIA's RTX GPUs are used by many because of their ray tracing capabilities and the AI-powered DLSS image enhancement and upscaling technology. The company revealed that 83% of GeForce RTX 40 Series owners enable ray tracing and 79% turn on DLSS. Among players with RTX 30 Series and 20 Series, 56% and 43% turn on ray tracing, while 71% and 68% use DLSS, respectively.
With the techs improving lighting, image quality, and performance in games, NVIDIA called ray tracing and DLSS "a new standard in gaming" defining the way people create content and redefining how it’s consumed.
"This week Cyberpunk 2077’s Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode technology preview showcases the evolution of ray tracing into full ray tracing, offering enhanced real-time lighting, shadows and reflections.
These innovations enable even the most demanding games to simultaneously implement multiple ray-tracing effects or even full ray tracing, aka path tracing, for unparalleled realism and immersion."
NVIDIA also noted that over 400 RTX games and applications are available now and more are on the horizon. DLSS 3, it claims, "has seen a 7x faster adoption rate than its predecessor."
