Developers will be able to sell their creations there.
ChatGPT creator OpenAI is considering setting up a marketplace for AI apps, according to The Information, where developers will be able to sell their AI models.
The plan was proposed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman during a meeting with developers last month. The store could compete with other such marketplaces and help spread AI technology.
The report also states that OpenAI's customers Aquant and Khan Academy are interested in offering their AI models in the marketplace.
ChatGPT definitely changed the AI game when it was released, and this new store could make it much easier to streamline workflows. At the same time, users are getting wary of AI, so it's not yet clear how well this idea will be met universally.
