Overgrowth Developers Shared the Game's Source Code

You can now create your own game about giant ninja rabbits.

Wolfire Games announced Overgrowth is now an open-source game, which means you can get the game's and its engine's code and learn how games are made from it or even use it in your own creations.

The shared files include the game's engine, project files, scripts, and shaders. If you want to get the textures, models, and audio, however, you will have to buy the game.

The code is shared under the Apache 2.0 license, which allows you to do whatever you want with it, including relicensing and selling it.

The game has also received a permanent 30% price drop and now costs $19.9.

Overgrowth is an action game where you fight enemies as an "acrobatic ninja rabbit." Wolfire Games started working on it back in 2008, and the game came out in 2017. Before that, the studio released a similar game called Lugaru.
